Drug Addiction – A Threat to the Future of Society

A meeting was held at Termez University of Economics and Service to promote a healthy lifestyle among students and protect young people from harmful habits, particularly the dangers associated with narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

During the event, specialists provided detailed information on preventing the spread of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances among young people, highlighting the serious harm these substances cause to both individual health and society. Particular emphasis was placed on the fact that drug addiction affects not only the individual but also their family, loved ones, and the overall development of society.

The event was also attended by representatives of the regional department of the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan. They spoke about ongoing efforts to prevent youth crime and combat the distribution of illegal substances. Participants were informed about the legal liability for drug-related crimes and the severe consequences of becoming involved in such illegal activities.
