Cooperation Events Held within the Framework of the GFU Delegation’s Visit to Azerbaijan

On January 30–31, 2026, a delegation of higher education institutions of Uzbekistan visited Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Within the framework of this visit, the delegation of the University of Geological Sciences (GFU) participated in a number of meetings aimed at developing cooperation with leading higher education institutions of Azerbaijan.

In particular, the GFU delegation visited Baku State University and the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, where issues related to research activities, joint projects, and the exchange of faculty members and students were discussed. During the meetings, GFU’s scientific potential, academic programs, modern laboratories, international cooperation experience, and living conditions were presented.

The parties reached agreements on developing long-term cooperation in the fields of geology, mineral resources, the oil and gas sector, and ecology.

On January 31, 2026, GFU also actively participated in the educational exhibition of Uzbek higher education institutions held in Baku, promoting the university’s academic opportunities and scientific potential. Meetings were conducted with Azerbaijani youth, providing detailed information about studying at GFU and academic exchange programs.
