An official meeting was held between Jizzakh State Pedagogical University and representatives of GATESOL at the University of Georgia.
The meeting was recognized as an important step toward advancing bilateral academic cooperation to a new level.
During the negotiations, issues related to the development of English language education and the expansion of international cooperation were discussed. An initiative to organize an annual large-scale international conference at the university, bringing together English language teachers from across Central Asia, was also considered.
Furthermore, the formation of joint research groups, participation in international grant projects, integration of artificial intelligence into language education, modernization of curricula, and improvement of the assessment system based on CEFR were identified as priority areas.
The parties also discussed the development of joint TESOL certification programs and professional development modules. It was emphasized that this meeting would contribute to strengthening long-term and sustainable cooperation.
