A new educational building was put into operation
The grand opening ceremony of the magnificent 1,000-seat Faculty of Foreign Languages building of Karshi State University was held. It was attended by the Governor of Kashkadarya region M.Azimov, the Kashkadarya regional department of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, university professors and teachers, representatives of the general public, labor veterans and media workers. At the event, the Governor of the region M.Azimov noted that in recent years, large-scale work has been carried out in our country to strengthen the material and technical base of higher education institutions, build adapted buildings, and improve the quality of specialist training, and the construction of a new educational building at Karshi State University is one of these works. Also, during the event, the university professor Sh.Kurbonov and the 4th-year student of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology S.Nuriddinova also spoke and expressed their opinions.
A grand opening ceremony was held at Karshi State University for the new Foreign Languages Faculty building, designed to accommodate 1,000 students. The event was attended by the Governor of Kashkadarya region, M. Azimov, representatives of the regional department of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, university professors and teachers, public figures, labor veterans, and media representatives.
Governor M. Azimov noted that in recent years, large-scale efforts have been made in the country to strengthen the material and technical base of higher educational institutions, build dedicated facilities, and improve the quality of training. The construction of the new academic building at Karshi State University is one such initiative.
Professor Sh. Qurbonov and 4th-year Chemistry-Biology student S. Nuriddinova also spoke at the event, sharing their thoughts.
The new 5-story academic building, built with modern architectural style, includes the French language center “Institut Français de Karshi,” English language programs, KOICA, German, Russian, and Chinese language centers, an Erasmus+ program office, media studio, simultaneous interpretation room, spacious lecture halls, a medical room, language labs, library, and computer rooms equipped with the latest ICT. Classrooms and labs are fitted with interactive whiteboards and modern teaching equipment.
Guests were introduced to the building’s facilities and highlighted its importance in fostering a modern, comfortable, and technology-driven learning environment, acknowledging its role in advancing science and education at the university.
The governor also visited the Student Service Center and the regional branch of the "Step into the Future" center, established under Presidential Decree No. PQ-61 dated February 14, 2025. Certificates for preferential loans of 50 million soums from "O‘zmilliybank" were awarded to three graduating students to start their entrepreneurial endeavors. The ceremony was further brightened by performances from beloved pop star Shohruhxon and local artists.
