About the university

The Institute was established based on Decree No. PQ-289 dated June 21, 2022, issued by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, titled “On measures to improve the quality of pedagogical education and further develop the activities of higher education institutions training pedagogical personnel.” The Institute operates in accordance with the approved “Roadmap for improving the activities of higher education institutions training pedagogical personnel in 2022–2026” and its target performance indicators (Annexes 2 and 3.11 of the Decree).

On July 21, 2022, the Institute was officially registered as a legal entity with the organizational-legal form of “State Institution,” registration number 1163379, and identification number 309732958.

Currently, the Institute consists of 3 faculties and 10 departments. These faculties offer 25 undergraduate programs, 18 master’s specialties, and 8 doctoral programs. In addition, the Institute publishes two scientific and methodological journals.

The Institute has 6 academic buildings, 3 student dormitories, 1 Information Resource Center, and 3 sports facilities. More than 223 professors and teachers work at the Institute, including 15 Doctors of Science and 107 PhD holders (associate professors). The overall academic qualification rate of the teaching staff is 58.2%.

At present, the Institute enrolls more than 9,522 undergraduate students, over 550 master’s students, and more than 66 doctoral students.

A number of talented students actively participate in national competitions and contests and achieve honorable results. In particular:

To support the educational process, the following centers operate at the Institute:

  • Future Teacher Center – introduces modern approaches to teacher training.
  • Information Resource Center – provides access to digital information resources.
  • IT Incubator Center – serves as a platform for learning modern professions.
  • Recording Studio – helps develop students’ creative abilities.
  • Russian Language Center – established to provide support for students majoring in Russian language and those wishing to learn Russian, with assistance from foreign specialists and faculty members.

Namangan State Pedagogical Institute plays an important role in the Namangan region by offering comprehensive pedagogical education programs and supporting education and research through its modern infrastructure.

Namangan State Pedagogical Institute: Modern Education and Opportunities Center for Students:

All necessary conditions have been created for students at Namangan State Pedagogical Institute to make learning convenient and effective. Free special courses “Learning Uzbek Language” are organized for international students to help them quickly and easily adapt to life at the institute. Special language courses are also available for Russian and English.

The institute provides students with broad opportunities for high-quality education, scientific and cultural development. The modern Information Resource Center, scientific laboratories, and classrooms support students’ research and practical work. For those interested in sports, modern fitness halls and sports facilities are available.

To develop students’ creativity and social activity, numerous clubs operate: Visual Arts Club, Dutor Girls Ensemble, Mathematics and Physics Clubs, and Technology Education Clubs. Sports activities include football, chess and checkers, volleyball, and basketball.

Additionally, highly qualified professors provide lessons, ensuring students gain deep knowledge. Intellectual programs such as “Zakovat” are held regularly for students’ mental and intellectual growth. International students are given full support to quickly adapt to life and study in Namangan.

Foreign Experience and Academic Mobility

During 2025, nearly 70 faculty members and field specialists of the Institute undertook official visits to prestigious higher education institutions in Malaysia, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, China, the Czech Republic, Kyrgyzstan, Germany, Belarus, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, Cyprus, and the Republic of Korea. These visits were aimed at professional development, internships, participation in international scientific conferences and seminars, exchange of experience, and expansion of cooperation ties.

General Information about the Faculty of Pedagogy of Namangan State Pedagogical Institute

The Faculty of Pedagogy is one of the leading faculties within Namangan State Pedagogical Institute. There are 3 departments operating under the faculty, comprising the following academic staff:

  • Department of Preschool Education — 13 professors and lecturers (including: 2 Professors, 5 Associate Professors, 1 Doctor of Science (DSc), 8 PhDs);

  • Department of Innovations in Primary Education — 15 professors and lecturers (including: 1 Professor, 3 Associate Professors, 2 Doctors of Science (DSc), 9 PhDs);

  • Department of Creative Pedagogy and Psychology — 23 professors and lecturers (including: 2 Doctors of Science (DSc), 10 PhDs, 6 Associate Professors, 7 Senior Lecturers, 7 Lecturers, 3 Trainee Lecturers).

Student Achievements: Talented students of the faculty are also achieving outstanding results. In particular, in accordance with Order No. 34 of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations dated February 2, 2026, Adashalieva Mehribonu Mirzohid qizi, a 4th-year student of Special Pedagogy (Logopedics), and Yuldasheva Umida Khusniddin qizi, a 2nd-year student of Preschool Education, were awarded the Navoi State Scholarship.

Furthermore, Abdurazoqova Maftunaxon Jahongir qizi, a 4th-year student of Primary Education, won 1st place in the 4×400 meters relay race at the "Championship of Uzbekistan" in track and field athletics among adults and youth, organized by the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, once again becoming the Champion of Uzbekistan.

Fazliddin Erkinbayev

Fazliddin Erkinboyev, who studied in the field of Physical Education and Sports at Namangan State Pedagogical Institute, achieved top positions in a number of prestigious national, Asian, and world championships. In particular, he достойно participated in the World Championship held for the first time by the World Boxing Organization in Liverpool, England, and once again raised the honor of our country on the international stage. At this prestigious competition, Fazliddin Erkinboyev defeated all his opponents in his division and won the world championship title.
