Kattakurgan State Pedagogical Institute

In the Republic of Uzbekistan, systemic work is being carried out to fundamentally reform the higher education system, expand the coverage of youth with higher education, and meet the needs of regions for highly qualified personnel. Special attention is paid to the wide introduction of digital and pedagogical technologies and modern methods into the educational process, ensuring transparency and fairness in the student admission process. As one of the important strategic steps of our government to expand the network of regional higher education institutions, Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 307 dated May 18, 2021, "On measures to organize the activities of the Kattakurgan branch of Samarkand State University" was adopted. The educational institution established on the basis of this resolution contributes worthily to the development of the region today with its modern infrastructure and scientific potential. Residents of Kattakurgan city and surrounding districts of Samarkand region, especially young people, have been provided with the opportunity to receive quality higher education in their residential area. This has not only sharply increased the level of higher education coverage among youth but has also served as an important socio-economic factor in attracting talented young people from remote areas to science and unleashing their intellectual potential. In the activities of the institution, special attention is paid to the training of professional higher-educated personnel who possess practical skills in high-demand specialties, taking into account current and future development trends of the region, especially in the fields of pedagogy and economics. Actively implementing digital and innovative pedagogical technologies corresponding to international standards and modern teaching methods into the educational processes, and developing students' independent learning and creative thinking abilities is also one of the primary goals. In order to closely link students' theoretical knowledge with practice, close cooperation ties have been established with schools, preschool educational organizations, and large economic enterprises in the region, through which students become familiar directly with work processes and modern techniques during their studies. In addition, scientific research work aimed at solving regional problems is organized, and innovative projects and startup ideas of professors, teachers, and talented students are fully supported. Today, this prestigious institution is taking bold steps toward raising the quality of education in the region to a new level, training mature specialists with a modern worldview, and elevating the general intellectual environment.

All facilities are available for foreign students.  We have foreign students who can study English and Russian languages and acquire all knowledge from professional teachers.
 Therefore, a number of dormitories have been established for them and they have all the necessary conditions, therefore, a library, a computer room, and educational youth clubs in various fields have been established for them to learn together.

Currently, the Kattakurgan branch of Samarkand State University has signed cooperation memorandums with 11 foreign higher education institutions to attract foreign investments. These include the Ala-too University of the Kyrgyz Republic, Vyatka State University of the Russian Federation, Ryazan State University, Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University named after Kuzma Minin, South Kazakhstan University named after Mukhtar Auezov, Nanjing Polytechnic Institute of the People's Republic of China, as well as Airlangga University of Indonesia, SGT University of India, Liaoning University of China, Malaya University of Malaysia, and the Mumbai Institute of Technology of India.

At the Kattakurgan State Pedagogic Institute, special emphasis is placed on the profound study of foreign languages to prepare globally competitive professionals. English, Chinese, German, French, Korean, Turkish, and many other foreign languages are taught at a high level using the most modern pedagogical technologies and interactive methods. Within the framework of successful international cooperation and the attraction of foreign investments, all necessary conditions have been established for students to master these languages perfectly and become outstanding specialists in their fields.

Talented students of the Kattakurgan branch of SamDU actively participate in international and republican Olympiads, various competitions held in regions and cities with the aim of meaningfully organizing the free time of young people, realizing and supporting their talents.
  Fortunately, almost none of them return without results!
  Our students also successfully took part in sports competitions organized by the Agency for Youth Affairs, the Kattakurgan branch of SamDU, and the military unit in Kattakurgan.
  Students of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Language Teaching of the branch Zakhidzhon Vakhobov took 1st place in the pole vault competition, and Zafar Raupov took 2nd place in the “Street Work out” competition.
