Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute

Jizzax Polytechnic Institute was established on February 28, 1992, and is located in Jizzax city. It specializes in training specialists in engineering and technology fields and is the only regional polytechnic higher education institution providing highly qualified personnel to enterprises and organizations in Jizzax, Syrdarya, Samarkand, and Navoi regions. The main task of the institute is to prepare highly qualified specialists with deep knowledge and practical skills in engineering and technical sciences and promote scientific research and innovations that contribute to development in these areas.

The institute offers extensive educational programs leading to Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degrees in the following fields:

Ecology and environmental protection

The institute consists of 5 faculties, 23 departments, 5 centers, 1 lyceum, and 13 technical colleges. Currently, more than 8800 students are studying in 32 specialties. On the initiative of the institute’s faculty and with the support of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a Solar Panel Assembly Research Center was established on the institute’s premises. The center is equipped with a semi-automated solar panel assembly line, which is expected to produce 60,000 panels annually with a capacity of 30 MW. The equipment for the research center was imported from China, and the staff of our scientific center has also completed training courses at the "Wuhan Ooitech Trade CO. LTD" solar panel manufacturing research center in China. Additionally, the institute has established the "Innovation Ideas Center" to address regional industrial challenges. This includes an incubation center, an IT park, a "Cotton Industry" research center, a "Construction Materials Testing" laboratory, and the "Polytech Memorial" group. Furthermore, a youth technopark has been built on the institute's premises, equipped with state-of-the-art training and laboratory equipment. The purpose of constructing the technopark is to enhance the effectiveness of practical training in the fields of "Surface Transport Systems," "Electrical Engineering," "Metrology, Standardization, and Product Quality Management," and "Architectural Planning." Currently, the details of future projects to be carried out there are being discussed. A great emphasis is placed on the integration of production and training processes in our country, and in this regard, our institute collaborates with organizations such as "Jizzax Cement" LLC, "Oxus Project Management" LLC, "Knauf Bukhara" LLC, "Bazalt Jun," "JAZ Akkumulyatori," "Jizzax ADM," "BYD Uzbekistan," and others.

Application process

1. Foreign citizens submit the following documents to the relevant educational institution for admission to the educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan:
   1. Application for admission to study;
   2. Original copies of documents showing the information on the studied subjects and the grades (points) obtained in the exams;
   3. Medical report on health;
   4. National and foreign exit passport (with a valid visa);
   5. 6 photographs measuring 3.5 x 4.5 cm;
   6. Documents such as the original of language certificate, report on disability
2. After a foreign citizen is recommended for the studentship, it is required to submit the original documents to the International Cooperation Department of the institute.

International Cooperation

Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute has been actively engaged in international cooperation since 2006. Currently, the institute maintains strong and effective partnerships with more than 80 foreign higher education institutions and organizations, contributing to the development of its scientific, educational, and innovative potential.

The institute collaborates with leading universities from Russia, Turkey, China, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Poland, Italy, and other countries through bilateral agreements, joint programs, research projects, and academic exchanges.

The institute actively participates in prestigious international programs such as Erasmus+, ITEC, JICA, KOICA, and Fulbright. Within Erasmus+ CBHE, it has successfully implemented 6 international projects.

Each year, around 10 faculty members improve their qualifications through the ITEC program. Additional opportunities are provided through JICA, KOICA, and Fulbright programs.

Modernization of laboratories has been carried out. As a result:

• 1st place in Uzbekistan (UI GreenMetric)
• Ranked Top-900 in QS Asia 2024
• 58th place in HE ranking

In 2024, around 30 students participated in academic exchange programs.

ACHIEVEMENTS OF OUR STUDENTS

1. Dilrabo Imomova, a student of the "Architecture and Construction" faculty, became the holder of the state award "Zulfiya"

2. Sevara Ilkhomova, a student of the "Architecture and Construction" faculty, became the holder of the state award "Zulfiya"

3. Students of the "Transport" and "Architecture and Construction" faculties, Sardor Meliev and Sindorjon Abdumannanov, were awarded the breastplate "Mehr-sakhovat"

4. Bekzod Akbar Tursunov, a Teacher at the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, was awarded the State Prize "Marduglon"
