Since 1995, the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics (Plekhanov Russian University of Economics) has been successfully operating in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Over the 30 years of its existence, the Branch has graduated 4,667 students, including 3,650 undergraduate students and 1,017 graduate students—an entire generation of economists for the New Uzbekistan. They have found their footing in life, acquiring within the walls of their alma mater not only high professionalism in economics but also spiritual and moral qualities with strong moral principles and patriotism.

The Tashkent branch occupies a special place in the branch network. Throughout its history, operating under the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a license from the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science, and a certificate of state accreditation, the Tashkent Branch has firmly established itself in the educational services market of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This is due to the stable integration of advanced pedagogical and information technologies, the latest advances in science and higher education into the educational process. Along with citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Branch also trains students from the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Afghanistan, Israel, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, China, Korea, and other countries.
Studying at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Branch provides high-quality higher education in economics, which is ensured by:

- the use of modern teaching methods and formats;

- gaining in-depth fundamental knowledge in specialized disciplines;

- the opportunity to study a number of core subjects in English.

The Branch's greatest asset is its faculty: over 70% of the faculty working in our university's classrooms are doctors and candidates of science.
The university has created all the conditions for an effective learning process. The Branch has implemented the Moodle LMS, which allows for the creation and storage of electronic educational materials and the setting of a study sequence. Thanks to Moodle access via the internet or other networks, students are not tied to a specific location or time, and can progress through the material at their own pace from anywhere in the world.

Modern online classrooms, computer and language labs, lecture halls equipped with multimedia equipment, and an information resource center containing not only a library of over 25,000 books but also an electronic library—this is far from a complete list of the facilities available to students and faculty. The branch provides all the conditions for creative self-realization.

The branch's international relations are actively developing with the direct participation of the parent university, through collaboration with various foreign institutions and educational centers in Europe, America, and Southeast Asia.
Since its inception, the branch has been headed by Kalandar Khodjaevich Abdurakhmanov, a leading economist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, widely recognized by the international scientific community, Doctor of Economics, full member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
K.Kh. As a leading leader and organizer, educator, and scholar researching key issues in socioeconomic development, Abdurakhmanov collaborated for many years with ministries working in the field of education and with leading economic agencies. He served as a consultant and research director on a number of major projects, the development of which was of interest to both the governments of Uzbekistan and Russia. All of this, along with his broad academic horizons, extensive practical experience, and professional mastery of global development and management issues, became a compelling and compelling characteristic when he was appointed head of the Educational and Scientific Center of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Tashkent in 1995. Following its transformation into a branch of the academy in 2001, he became director of the branch.
In a relatively short period of time, K.Kh. Abdurakhmanov succeeded in creating a higher education institution that draws students from all over the country to learn from each other. Graduates of the branch are now working in priority sectors of the economy, in public administration, and across all business sectors. Thus, the branch, created and operating under the direct leadership of K.Kh. Abdurakhmanov, makes a significant contribution to the reform of Uzbek society and to the provision of personnel for economic reforms in the country.
