About the programme
The Uzbek language and literature course is intended for young people interested in in-depth study of the Uzbek national culture, literary heritage and linguistic wealth. This direction is still relevant today, since language and literature are not only the cultural basis of the people, but also occupy an important place in education, the media, translation, communication and public administration. During their studies, students deeply study the Uzbek language, such as phonetics, morphology, syntax, stylistics, lexicology, as well as the basics of Uzbek folklore, classical and modern literature, literary theory, text analysis, and translation studies. Graduates can work as teachers of Uzbek language and literature in schools, researchers, editors, journalists, translators, content writers, expert linguists or press secretaries in government agencies and publishing houses. The direction of the Uzbek language and literature is a worthy choice for young people who love their language, who think creatively, and who want to acquire literary and aesthetic taste.
