The Specialist program in "Technology of Geological Exploration" (specialization "Geophysical Methods of Well Logging") is implemented at the Branch of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) in Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan) at the Department of Geological and Geophysical Exploration Technologies of the Branch of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) in Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan).

The program provides professional training of highly qualified specialists in the assessment of geophysical information: from the physical properties of rocks to the spatio-temporal models of oil and gas deposits. Quantitative information on the composition and properties of rocks intersected by wells is received, transmitted to the surface, and documented in digital and graphic forms using geophysical information systems. Geophysics uses all physical fields known to mankind, achievements of fundamental sciences (physics, chemistry, mathematics), electronics, microprocessor technology, as well as computer and geoinformation technologies.

The areas of professional activity of the graduate are:

• application and development of geophysical information-measuring systems based on modern geoinformation technologies for studying the geological structure of oil and gas deposits;
• research of the physical properties of rocks;
• geophysical support of field development.

The disciplines are taught by professors and associate professors of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) and the department.
