About the programme

The Department of Service Engineering was established within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering following structural changes at Tashkent State Technical University, based on Protocol No. 12 of the University Council dated July 17, 2017. K. K. Mirzayev, Candidate of Technical Sciences, was appointed Head of the Department. From August 24 of the 2018–2019 academic year, pursuant to Order No. 03/09-402 of the Rector of Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov, Associate Professor Sh. A. Sultanova was appointed Head of the Department of Service Engineering. Pursuant to Order No. 03/09-629 of the Rector of Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov dated November 14, 2022, Doston Ishmukhammat ugli Samandarov, PhD, Associate Professor, was appointed Head of the Department of Service Engineering.

Our goal to become a leading and internationally recognized educational and research center in Central Asia, providing high-quality training for highly qualified professionals with up-to-date knowledge, strong practical skills, and competitiveness in the international labor market in the fields of vehicle engineering (vehicle service and maintenance), technological machinery and equipment (food industry), and technology of storage and processing of agricultural products. We also aim to conduct advanced scientific research in these fields, develop innovative technologies and engineering solutions, and implement them in industrial practice.

Our mission to contribute significantly to the sustainable development of the country and the advancement of society by developing and implementing innovative technologies based on cutting-edge national and international research, advancing modern and innovative education, and preparing highly qualified, competitive, and forward-thinking professionals.

The Technological machinery and equipment undergraduate program is designed to train highly qualified engineers in the design, calculation, operation, control, and modernization of modern technological machinery and equipment used in the food and processing industries. Students acquire advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills in modern production technologies, automation, digital modeling, and the development of energy- and resource-efficient engineering solutions. Graduates are prepared to work as leading specialists in modern industrial enterprises, engineering and design centers, and research institutions.
