Special pedagogy

Special pedagogy prepares specialists specializing in working with children and adults with disabilities in society. This area is especially relevant today, since the principles of inclusive education are on the agenda, that is, the issue of creating equal educational opportunities for all children. As part of the course, students study the psychology of persons with disabilities, correctional pedagogy, speech therapy, education of the deaf, typhlopedagogy, and methods of inclusive education. Specialists who complete this course will have the opportunity to work in general education and special schools, children's rehabilitation centers, psychological and pedagogical consultation centers, institutions specializing in inclusive education, as well as in preschool educational institutions as a speech therapist, defectologist, typologist or deaf teacher. Special education not only serves an important social purpose, but is also the right choice for young people who want a career that combines compassion, patience and professional skills.
