The programme covers the set of professional fields related to teaching mother tongue and reading literacy, mathematics, natural science, character education and labour training at the primary stage (grades 1–4) of the continuous education system, as well as developing pupils' speech, logical thinking and creative abilities. Graduates may work as primary school teachers in state and non-state secondary schools, specialised schools and preschool–primary education institutions, as specialists in public education administration bodies and methodological centres, and in educational research institutes, academic publishing houses and private education organisations.
