  The "Music Education" programme provides students with in-depth knowledge in music theory, performance skills, conducting, and music
  pedagogy. The curriculum combines Uzbek national musical heritage with foreign classical and contemporary musical culture, preparing
  graduates as qualified music teachers for general education schools, art schools, and music clubs.

  Programme Objectives

  The principal objective is to train music educators and arts professionals who possess deep knowledge of national and world musical
  culture, master vocal-choral, instrumental performance and conducting skills, and have a strong command of modern music teaching
  methodologies.

  Core Subjects:

  • Music theory and solfège
  • Harmony, polyphony, and analysis of musical works
  • Uzbek folk music and maqom studies
  • History of world music and musical literature
  • Principal instrument (piano, instrumental performance)
  • Vocal-choral class and methodology of working with choir
  • Fundamentals of conducting
  • Methodology of music teaching and arts pedagogy

  • Professional performance and interpretation of musical works
  • Working with a choral ensemble and conducting
  • Organising music lessons in school using modern methods
