About the programme
The department was established on the basis of the Department of Economics and Management by the order of the rector of the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Construction No. 144 dated July 12, 2002 as the Department of "Management", which trains specialists.
The department was headed by Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Gimush R.I. in 2002-2009, Ph.D., from December 2009 to April 2012, Ph.D., prof. Khairova D.R., from April 2, 2012 to May 23, 2023, Ph.D., prof. Davletov I.Kh., from May 25 to August 27, 2023, Ph.D., prof. Nurimbetov R.I., PhD, Assoc. Prof. Berdiyeva D.A. from August 29, 2023 to December 2, 2024 were headed. Since December 4, 2024, the department has been headed by Dr. of Science, Prof. Ismailov A.M.
Today, the department has professors: Nurimbetov R.I., Davletov I.Kh., D.R., prof. vb. Berdiyeva D.A., associate professors: Rakhimov Q.E., Mamatkulova N.M., Khalilova A.R., Sultanov A.S., associate professor vb.: Akhmedov O.B., Khaydarova E.Sh., senior teachers: Akbarkhodjaeva Z.Z., Zikrillaev V.G., assistants: Atadjanova F.S., Normirzaev O.M., Mirzakhmedov Sh.A. and teaching assistant - head of the office Khalilov R.I. are working.
Today, the scientific potential of the department is 55 percent. Currently, a total of 21 professors and teachers work in the department. Of these, 4 are professors, 1 associate professor, 5 associate professors, 2 associate professors, 5 senior teachers, 4 assistants. These professors and teachers have published a number of textbooks, manuals, methodological guides, monographs and scientific articles in the fields of construction and housing and communal services.
Currently, the department is training personnel in the bachelor's degree programs 60411200 - "Management (Construction)" (full-time, evening and distance learning forms) and 60730200 - "Organization and Management of Communal Infrastructure" and the master's degree program 70410901 - "Business Management (Master of Business Administration -MBA)". The professors and teachers of the department teach undergraduate courses in the following areas of study: “Introduction to Business”, “Academic Skills and Professional Competence”, “Management”, “Management and Marketing”, “Construction Management”, “Construction Marketing”, “Innovation Management”, “Production Management”, “Strategic Management”, “Quality Management”, “Administrative Management”, “Finance”, “Financial Management”, “Product Quality Management”, “Human Resources Management”, “Project Management”, “Organization and Management of Communal Infrastructure”, “Business Planning in Construction”, “Housing Management”, “Finance and Taxes”, “Entrepreneurship”, “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship” and “Organizational Behavior”, as well as in master's specialties - “Higher Education Management and Marketing”, “Innovation Management, Commercialization and Transfer of Technology”, “Customs Work”, “Digital Business Management”, “Business Planning”, “Enterprise Economics”, “International Entrepreneurship”, “Small Business and Entrepreneurship”, “Human Resources Management”, “Regional Economy and Regional Development Policy”, “Corporate Governance”, “Organization and Management of Housing and Communal Infrastructure”, “Management of Communal Infrastructure Facilities”, “System of Regulatory Documents in the Field of Housing and Communal Services”, “Innovative and Investment Management of Communal Infrastructure” and “Strategic Management of Housing and Communal Infrastructure” are taught to students using modern pedagogical and information and communication technologies. The main scientific areas of the department are:
Improvement of the organizational and economic foundations and mechanisms of housing development in the Republic of Uzbekistan;
Scientific and methodological foundations of a comprehensive assessment of residential building project solutions;
Improvement of the housing stock management system in the republic on the basis of public-private partnership and increasing the efficiency of the financial management mechanism;
directions for improving the financial and economic potential of industrial and construction enterprises, increasing production efficiency and improving the methodology for managing innovative activities in the context of digitalization of the economy;
ways to improve the efficiency of the management mechanism at enterprises producing building materials.
Young specialists who graduate from the department can work as managers, managers, engineers, chief engineers, engineer-economists, managers (foremen), leading specialists and heads of departments at enterprises and organizations in the field of construction and housing and communal services, as well as directors, deputy directors and teachers at technical schools and vocational colleges in the field of professional education.
