About the programme

Master's specialty 70220301 – History (by area and type of activity) – is a specialty in the field of education “Arts and Humanities”, teaching subjects related to specialization in higher educational institutions, advanced training and retraining, general, secondary, secondary special, vocational educational institutions, includes research work of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan in research institutes, research centers, design institutes, scientific and production associations. The specialization also covers a complex set of issues related to the specialization of production and service enterprises of various forms of ownership, government bodies, property, industry and economic organizations of various forms.

After completing the master's program, the graduate is awarded the qualification of master of history.

In the 1st year, the following subjects are taught in Uzbek: “Methodology of scientific research”, “Field ecology and dynamics of civilization”, “Land and water relations in Uzbekistan (from ancient times to the present day)”, “Interethnic relations and tolerance in Uzbekistan” ”, “Issues of historical reconstruction”, “Source study and historiography of Europe of the Middle Ages”, “Methodology of teaching special subjects”, “Cooperation of Uzbekistan with world countries in the context of globalization” or “Renaissance: the relationship between Uzbekistan and world civilization” ;

In the 2nd year “Source studies and historiography of medieval Europe” or “History of European civilization”, “Current issues in the history of Uzbekistan in the second half of the 19th - first half of the 20th centuries” or “Sources and historiography of the history of the Ancient East”, “Theoretical issues of the strategy of reforms in Uzbekistan "or "History of embassy relations in Uzbekistan (from ancient times to the beginning of the twentieth century)."

 

Scientific practice (internship) takes place in the fourth semester of the 2nd year.

Scientific practice (internship) is carried out with the aim of familiarizing masters with the curriculum and program of professional education, familiarizing themselves with the achievements of new scientific and technical developments, developing research competencies, developing the integration of education with science and the latest scientific and technical developments, on the basis of agreements in the relevant organizations, historical, archaeological and ethnographic sites.

After successful completion of 2 years of study, a master's degree in history is awarded.

Training is conducted using a credit-module system. 1 credit is equal to 30 academic hours.

Transfer from one course to another is determined by GPA at the end of each academic year.

At the end of the educational program, Final State Certification Tests are conducted.

Practicum and laboratory work in subjects related to the specialty included in the curriculum can be conducted in higher educational institutions and basic organizations and enterprises.
