 History (by countries and directions) — Bachelor's Programme

  The "History (by countries and directions)" programme provides students with an in-depth study of the history of Uzbekistan and the
  peoples of the world, the stages of civilisational development, and political, socio-economic, and cultural processes. The curriculum is
   based on historical source studies, archival science, and modern methodologies of historical research, training students in source work
   and scholarly analysis.

  Programme Objectives

  The principal objective is to train qualified historians with profound knowledge of Uzbek, regional, and world history, capable of
  independently analysing historical sources and possessing the competencies required for scholarly research and teaching activities.

  Core Subjects:

  • History of Uzbekistan and the peoples of Central Asia
  • History of the ancient world and the Middle Ages
  • History of the modern and contemporary periods
  • Historical source studies and archival science
  • Historiography and the theory of history
  • Fundamentals of ethnology and anthropology

  • Methodology of teaching history
