Bukhara Innovation University
Electrical engineering, electrical mechanics and electrical technologies (by sectors)
About the programme
Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics and Electrical Technologies (by industries) — Bachelor's Programme
This programme offers students an in-depth study of the generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption of electrical energy.
The curriculum focuses on developing skills in designing, operating, and managing electromechanical systems, electrical machines, power
facilities, and modern electrical technologies. The evening study mode provides convenient learning opportunities for students already
engaged in industry.
Programme Objectives
The principal objective is to train highly qualified electrical engineers capable of designing, installing, operating, and repairing
electrical equipment at industrial enterprises, power plants, in agriculture, and in the utility sector, as well as specialists in
energy efficiency improvement and the use of alternative energy sources.
Core Subjects:
• Theoretical electrical engineering and electromagnetic field theory
• Electrical machines and transformers
• Power supply and electrical networks
• Electronics and microprocessor technology
• Electric drives and automated control systems
• High-voltage engineering and relay protection
• Alternative and renewable energy sources
• Occupational safety and electrical safety
Skills Acquired:
• Design and calculation of electrical equipment and systems
• Operation of power plants and substations
• Installation, commissioning, and repair of power supply systems
• Optimisation of energy consumption and energy audits
• Design using modern CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP)
Career Opportunities
Graduates can work as electrical engineers at power plants and energy enterprises; chief power engineers and heads of electrical
facilities at industrial enterprises; design engineers at engineering institutes; technologists at electrical equipment factories;
electricians at construction and installation companies; specialists in alternative energy projects (solar, wind); and consultants in
energy efficiency and energy audits.
