Bukhara Innovation University
Automation and management of technological process and production (technical sciences)
About the programme
Automation and Control of Technological Processes and Production (Technical Sciences)
The Automation and Control of Technological Processes and Production programme is a modern degree that prepares highly
qualified engineers for the automation, control and monitoring of technological processes at oil-and-gas, energy,
metallurgical, chemical, food and machine-building enterprises in the era of digital industry (Industry 4.0). The dual
mode of study enables students to combine theoretical preparation with hands-on work in the automation workshops and
control rooms of real industrial enterprises.
Programme Objectives
To prepare engineers capable of effectively controlling complex technological processes at industrial enterprises
using automated process control systems (APCS), programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and SCADA systems, and of
ensuring increased productivity and production safety.
Core Subjects:
• Theory of Automatic Control
• Automation of Technological Processes
• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs — Siemens S7, Schneider, Mitsubishi)
• SCADA Systems and HMI Design (WinCC, InTouch, Wonderware)
• Industrial Sensors and Measurement Systems
• Industrial Networks (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP)
• Microcontrollers and Embedded Systems
• Fundamentals of Robotics and Mechatronics
• Industrial Safety and Industry 4.0 Technologies
Skills Acquired:
• Designing and implementing automation systems
• Programming (ladder logic, structured text) and configuring PLCs
• Developing SCADA systems and operator interfaces
• Integrating sensors and actuators
• Deploying industrial networks and Industrial IoT (IIoT) solutions
• Working in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN and MATLAB Simulink
Career Opportunities
Graduates of this programme can pursue successful careers as automation engineers, PLC programmers, SCADA engineers,
process engineers, mechatronics engineers, chief automation engineers at "Uzbekneftegaz", "Uzkimyosanoat", "Almalyk
MMC", "Navoi MMC" and at food and textile enterprises, industrial robotics specialists, and as service engineers at
suppliers and system integrators of automation equipment.
Duration: 4 years (Bachelor's) | Mode of study: Dual | Field: Engineering
