Research on seed potato cultivation has been started at the university

In the modern hydroponic greenhouse of the “Uzbekistan-Korea Potato Seeding Center,” established under Samarkand Agroinnovations and Research University, the first microtubers were planted together with Korean experts. The staff of the chair of plant science and fruit and vegetable growing and students who are interested in this field participated in the process.
In the initial research, three varieties that are common in our republic are being tested. In the future, in this center, it is planned to accelerate the creation of varieties suitable for the climatic conditions of our republic and the development of their healthy, high-quality seeds, as well as increase the capacity of personnel in the field.
