Today, Samarkand State University of Architecture and Construction (SamDAQU) has joined the International Consortium of Architecture Universities, known as "One Room, One Road."
On October 19, 2024, the delegation of Samarkand State University of Architecture and Construction, named after Mirzo Ulugbek, currently in the People's Republic of China, participated in the "One Belt, One Road Architecture Universities International Consortium Conference and Forum 2024" held at Tianjin Chengjian University in Tianjin.

Before the forum, a ceremonial acceptance of Samarkand State University of Architecture and Construction into this international consortium (Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium) was held.
As part of the forum, Dr. Chidem Turkyilmaz, the rector of Samarkand State University of Architecture and Construction, participated with a presentation on the topic "Today and Future of Uzbek-Chinese Cooperation in Architecture and Civil Engineering."
In her presentation, she discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in the fields of architecture and construction, highlighted the significant Chinese-funded construction projects being carried out in Uzbekistan in recent years, and emphasized the importance of future cooperation between universities, especially in engineering disciplines. She noted that this friendly collaboration is currently supported at the state level by the leadership of both countries.
