In the 1st stage, compulsory subjects such as Uzbekistan's recent history, Uzbek (Russian) language, Philosophy, Fundamentals of Creative Writing in Journalism, Basics and History of Journalism, Media Linguistics and Literature, National and Global Journalism History, News and Reporting in International Journalism, Fundamentals of Journalism and Public Communications, etc., are taught.
In the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stages, compulsory subjects, specialized subjects for inclusion in the curriculum, and elective subjects are taught, and practical training is conducted in designated places.

Upon successful completion of the 4-year program, students are awarded a Bachelor's degree in Journalism (International Journalism).
1 credit equals 30 academic hours.
The GPA indicator is determined in the third week of August each year.
The block of elective subjects is determined based on the decision of the Curriculum Council of the OTM, taking into account the labor market and the requirements, relevance, and dynamism of employers, and the block is specified from the set of subjects.
In the process of developing the curriculum, it is recommended to increase the volume of weekly hours of subjects in the working curriculum by up to 5%, and the volume of subjects in the blocks by up to 10%, while keeping the weekly volume of the student's load.
The period of the final state certification also includes the defense of the final practical work.
Practical exercises for subjects related to the specialization included in the curriculum are conducted at higher education institutions and other specialized organizations.
To ensure the theoretical and practical accuracy, the practical activities of students, as part of their professional activities in the field of Journalism (International Journalism), cover the following objects: press publications and journalistic materials; radio broadcasting and television programs; informational, analytical, and literary-publicistic genres; news disseminated through news agencies; advertising agency products, internal and external advertising; internet journalism materials, websites, social networks, hypertexts; information materials of government administration bodies, ministries, enterprises, and institutions, press releases; public relations services' information materials; printed products produced at publishing houses and printing plants.
