70111801– Foreign language and literature (English)

Those who study in this direction will study English linguistics and literature well.

In the 1st year, all subjects specified in the curriculum are taught in Uzbek and English.

From the 2nd year, all subjects of the curriculum are taught in Uzbek and English. Scientific practice is carried out in the system of higher education, advanced training, and retraining secondary specialized and vocational education.

After successful completion of 2 years of study, the specialty “Foreign Language and Literature – English” is awarded.

1. 1 credit is equal to 30 academic hours.

2. Research work, preparation and defense of a master's thesis, and scientific and pedagogical work activities are carried out in 1-4 semesters, and scientific and practical (internship) activities - in 3-4 semesters in the number of hours specified in the curriculum.

3. The list of elective subjects included in the curriculum may be changed in subsequent academic years by the decision of the University Scientific Council.

 4. By the decision of the Scientific Council of the University, changes may be made to the schedule of the educational process, curriculum, and volume of compulsory and elective subjects in subsequent academic years.

5. The deadline for the final state certification includes the preparation and defense of a master's thesis.

6. To acquire scientific practice and experience, is carried out in higher educational institutions, research institutions, basic organizations, and enterprises.

7. Only one of the elective subjects included in the curriculum is taught at the student's choice.

8. The GPA indicator is determined at the end of the academic year, as well as in the third week of August when the summer semester is established.

VACATION TIME:

• Course 1:

- from the 5th week of December to the 1st week of January (12/25/2023-01/07/2024 for 2024)

- from the 2nd week of June to September (06/10/2024-09/02/2024 for 2024)

• Course 2:

from the 5th week of December to the 1st week of January (12/25/2023-01/07/2024 for 2024)

- from the 1st week of July
