UrSU and Japanese Scientists Expand Cooperation in Rice Cultivation

A delegation from Nagoya University (Japan) visited Urgench State University to discuss innovative rice farming technologies and researcher exchange programs.

Today, a delegation led by Professor Ashikari Motoyuki from Nagoya University, Japan, visited the Khorezm region to explore the activities of Urgench State University and the Khorezm experimental station of the Republican Rice Research Institute. During the visit, the parties discussed the advancement of innovative rice cultivation technologies, the adaptation of foreign rice varieties to the local climate, and the establishment of exchange programs for graduate students and researchers. Accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences, S. Sadullayev, the delegation also visited rice fields in the Gurlan district to observe ongoing experimental work and field trials.
