The discipline “Introduction to the specialty” in the general system of training teachers-philologists is a major course and plays a decisive role in the professional training of future specialists.

The study of this discipline in accordance with the curriculum is carried out in the 1st semester.

The purpose of studying the discipline is:

Goals of teaching Russian as a foreign language. Linguistic, methodological and linguocultural foundations of teaching Russian as a foreign language. Functional-communicative linguodidactic model of language and its main characteristics. Types of speech activity. Formation of skills and abilities as the basis for teaching types of speech activity. Control in the system of teaching Russian as a foreign language.

Objectives of the discipline:

1. Study of professional and ethical standards that exist in the modern pedagogical activity of a philologist.
