FACULTY OF TRANSLATION THEORY AND PRACTICE
The faculty was established on the basis of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-4797 dated May 13, 2016 "On the organization of activities of the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi".
Faculty of translation theory and practice: English, translation theory and practice: Russian, translation theory and practice: French, translation theory and practice: German, simultaneous translation (English), artistic translation (English language), scientific and technical translation (English language), comparative linguistics, linguistic translation studies (English language) are trained by specialists.

These specialists translate literature in scientific, artistic and other fields from Uzbek into English and other foreign languages, as well as from world languages into our mother tongue with high quality and skill, train translators who perform simultaneous, visual, sequential translation at international conferences and forums, o conducts research on scientific and methodological developments related to the creation of translation programs and dictionaries, electronic textbooks based on the Uzbek language and the world's leading foreign languages, preparation of practical recommendations and wide implementation of the results achieved in this regard.

The faculty has established cooperation with about 40 universities in more than 20 countries of the world, in particular, Shakarim University of Kazakhstan, London Metropolitan University, Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistics University, Etvos University of Hungary, Bergen University of Norway, Humboldt University of Berlin, University of Paris, etc. . It should be noted that 4 large international projects are being implemented on the basis of this cooperation. In particular, in the Erasmus+ program (2021-2027), as well as in cooperation with Etvos University of Hungary, Erasmus + KA107 was presented to the Erasmus International + Credit Mobility Program (Erasmus International Exchange Program) for the years 2020-2024 "Translation of Alisher Navoi's works into world languages and their is participating in the project called "studying abroad". In addition, major international projects such as "Stand against drugs", "Pathway of Empowerment Gender-based violence" are being implemented by the faculty team.
