Negotiations Held with the KOICA Delegation on a Prospective Project

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Representative Office in Uzbekistan, together with a delegation of experts visiting from the Republic of Korea, paid a visit to the Namangan State Institute of Foreign Languages named after Is’hoqxon Ibrat.

This visit was organized based on a project proposal put forward by N. Kho‘janazarova, a Korean language instructor at the Namangan State Institute of Foreign Languages, and its practical opportunities and prospects were studied by the experts.

On the first day of the visit, members of the delegation exchanged views with Korean language teachers and students studying in this field. Specialists responsible for the construction and design aspects of the project also became acquainted with the Institute’s infrastructure.

On the second day, a final presentation was held with the participation of the Institute’s Rector, Rivojiddin Karimov, and responsible staff members. During the presentation, discussions focused on transforming the Institute into a regional HUB center for the development of the Korean language and culture, establishing a Korean Language Center in the Namangan region, and introducing an artificial intelligence–based Korean language teaching program.

In addition, training Korean language specialists to work with modern digital platforms and providing the educational process with digitized resources were identified as priority areas of the project.

The parties agreed to continue negotiations on the project until 2027 and to implement it in stages.
