I.Content of science
The purpose of the study of science is to summarize the task, subject and object of resource and historiography in students, the types of research and resources and the results of research, to analyze theoretical issues of resource development, internal and external sources and, to comprehensively scientific and comparative analysis of sources, to form the consciousness knowledge, skills and qualifications.
The task of the science is to teach students about the role of resources and historical research in resource management and historiography, forms of promotion of knowledge of history, about resources related to the history of the peoples of Central Asia, to receive general information, to use resources and scientific research in the educational process in their small scientific work.

Source studies and historiography
Theme 1. Categorization of sources.
The importance of categorizing sources for historical research. The main principles in categorization: separation of sources according to their content, origin and direction. Historical source. The main types of resources: material monuments, spiritual monuments. The division of historical sources into groups according to their form and content: material (material) sources, ethnographic sources, linguistic sources, oral sources (folklore), written sources. The main varieties of written sources. Literary sources (Chronicles, hronics, Epic monuments. Documents related to acts (labels, acts, letters, legal-Kazakh documents). Archival sources. Regulatory and executive documents; statistical materials as historical sources. Documents of public organizations as a historical source. Diplomatic documents, memoirs, Periodical Press.
Theme 2. Source study: Identification, recovery, analysis.
Research in the field of sourcing. Identification of sources and its scientific significance. Sorting sources in thematic order and its main conditions. Methods of source analysis. Sources ofnnn tagging depending on the external and internal characters. General description of sources and research of a separate source. Text recognition. Original source. The source is written in period and place, in which the gift of historicism. The history of the creation of the source is a prerequisite and a criterion of historical validity to the UDA (historicity in documents will be almost realistically reflected). Theme 3. Ancient and early medieval written sources on the history of Central Asia (up to Arabic script)
Ancient epigraphic sources (Behistun, Persepolis, Nahshi Rustam, Darius I, Ayritom Scrolls). Avesto is an ancient written monument; description of Central Asia in Avesto. Information about Central Asia in ancient Indian sources. The works of ancient Greek and ancient Roman authors are an important source on the history of the ancient period of Central Asia: the works of Herodotus, Diodorus, Aristotle, Pompey Trog, Arrian, Quintus Cursius Rufus, Gaius Pliny, Plutarch, Polybius, Strabo, Claudius Ptolemy.    Chinese chronicles as an ancient source on the history of Central Asia. Hou-Han-shu ("history of the Later Han Dynasty"), Bey-shu ("history of the northern dynasties"), Sui-shu ("history of the House of Sui"), and b. Historical works in Arabic (works of al-Madoiniy, Tabariy, al-Balazuriy, al-Ya'qubiy, Beruniy). Works on the classification of Sciences (Ibn an-Nadim, Abu Abdulloch al - Khwarazmi).
