The Branch was established pursuant to Resolution No. PP-290 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 24, 2006, “On the Organization of the Activities of the Branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University in Tashkent.”

The principal mission of the Branch is to train highly qualified specialists in accordance with the academic standards adopted by Lomonosov Moscow State University, internationally recognized requirements for the quality of higher education, and the goals and objectives of the National Program for Personnel Training of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The activities of the Branch are carried out in compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation.

The admission of applicants and the certification of graduates of the Branch are conducted in accordance with the requirements, procedures, and deadlines established by Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Instruction at the Branch is provided in accordance with curricula and academic programs approved by Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The diploma issued to graduates of the Branch, in the established format certifying graduation from Lomonosov Moscow State University, is recognized as a higher education qualification document in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Anastasia Bystrygova, a graduate of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science: I first visited the Tashkent branch of Moscow State University in my second year of college, attending the Mathematics and Computer Science Festival. From that moment on, I dreamed of enrolling there. I began participating in competitive programming competitions in my fourth year. In 2013, our team reached the finals of the ACM ICPC World Championship in Competitive Programming. I also helped organize the Computer Science and Mathematics Festival and played for the university volleyball team. After graduating from the branch with honors in 2016, I entered the Master's program at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Moscow State University, which I also graduated with honors. I am currently a graduate student in the Mathematical and Information Systems Department of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Moscow State University. Since my first year of master's program, I've been giving lectures on competitive programming to undergraduate students, and I also occasionally conduct similar lectures for students from the branch. Maxim Bolonkin, a graduate of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics: "While studying at the Tashkent Branch of Moscow State University, I was actively involved in its life: I was one of the founders of the Mathematics and Informatics Festival and one of the first coaches of competitive programming teams, and I also competed in them myself. After graduating from the Branch, I worked as a research fellow at the scientific and production organization Akadempribor, and then taught mathematics at the Interhouse Lyceum. In 2013, I entered the master's program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics at St. Petersburg State University, graduating with honors. Since 2015, I've been studying for a PhD at Dartmouth College (USA), conducting research in computer vision and machine learning. In 2018, I taught a course on optimization methods and numerical methods for master's students at the Moscow State University Branch. Ivan Klochkov, a graduate of the Psychology Department: "After graduating from university in 2011, I joined the Training Center of Uzbekistan Airways as a lecturer for the Flight Safety cycle commission. I mastered the intricacies of scientific fields related to psychology. Over five years of teaching courses, I trained over 8,000 airline employees. Since 2014, I have been conducting socio-psychological research in the airline's divisions and airports. I am now the Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at the Training Center. During my two years in this position, I organized the launch of over 20 new courses for airline employee training, actively participated in the acquisition and implementation of the unique v9000 Commander firefighting simulator, and organized basic pilot training courses at the Training Center." Natalia Deyneka, a graduate of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science: After graduating, I remained at the university as a computer science instructor at the preparatory courses for applicants at the Branch; I also coordinated the "Young Mathematicians and Computer Scientists Club." In 2017, I enrolled in the Master's program at the Branch. After completing my Master's in 2019, I began working as a lecturer in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. My research interests include mathematical biology, in which I defended my undergraduate thesis and continue my research today. I also have many interests outside of my professional and academic activities. For example, I studied Japanese at the Uzbek-Japanese Center and in 2016, I completed a short-term internship in the exact sciences in Japan with the Takeda Foundation.
