• The Master's program in International Private Law is designed for those seeking a career in legal support for international transactions and dispute resolution involving foreign companies and individuals. Graduates of this program work for domestic, foreign, and international companies, as well as government agencies. They specialize in legal support for commodity and equipment supply transactions, intellectual property protection, the protection of business participants' rights in court and international commercial arbitration, and the legal support of interstate cooperation in related areas.

Известные преподаватели (потенциальные научные руководители) и основные направления их исследований:

• Марусин Игорь Станиславович окончил Ленинградский государственный университет имени А.А. Жданова в 1986 г. В Санкт-Петербургском государственном университете работает с 1997 г. на должностях доцента и профессора. Там же в 2009 г. защитил диссертацию на соискание ученой степени доктора юридических наук. Является автором более 70 научных работ, в том числе монографий «Международные уголовные судебные учреждения» и «Физические лица в международных судах». Сфера научных интересов – право международных организаций, право международной безопасности, международное уголовное право.

• Innokenty Igorevich Karandashov is the acting head of the Department of International Law, a PhD in Law, and an associate professor. He provides expert advice on matters pertaining to the law of the World Trade Organization, private international law, etc., upon request from third parties. He also teaches a notary professional development program on the application of private international law. He is also a participant in the "Notary" project, implemented by St. Petersburg State University to assist notaries in the application of law in their work (an expert in international law). He is also a member of the Russian Association of International Law. He has lectured on international law at the Republican Notary Chamber (Kazakhstan), Tehran University (Iran), and Tashkent State Law University (Uzbekistan).
• Valentina Vladimirovna Tereshkova is a PhD candidate in law and associate professor in the Department of International Law at St. Petersburg State University. She specializes in legal support for foreign economic activity, the protection of international investments, the application of international treaties, international customs, and decisions of international judicial bodies in the activities of Russian courts, as well as the international protection of human rights and compliance with international standards of human rights and freedoms by Russian law enforcement and judicial bodies. She has participated in numerous international internships (at the Institute of European Law at the University of Birmingham (UK), at Tilburg University (Netherlands), etc.). As a guest lecturer, she has lectured on international law at the University of Gdansk (Poland), in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), and at the International University MITSO (Belarus).
• Ekaterina Mikhailovna Kurochkina , PhD in Law, is an assistant professor in the Department of International Law at St. Petersburg State University. Her practice focuses on international trade law and international contract law. She specializes in the legal regulation of international commercial arbitration, as well as the recognition and enforcement of foreign judicial and arbitral awards. She provides expert advice on legal inquiries from notaries. She has practical experience in international contract law and international commercial arbitration. She is a participant in the "Notariat" project, implemented by St. Petersburg State University to assist notaries in the application of law in their work (expert in international law). She is a member of the Russian Association of International Law.
• Elena Mikhailovna Bayer is a senior lecturer in the Department of International Law at St. Petersburg State University. She is the founder and CEO of Bayer & Partners LLC. She is a practicing lawyer with over 28 years of experience both in Russia and abroad. She specializes in international business law, intellectual property law, information law, and digital law. 2019-2023 – Visiting Professor at the Skolkovo Moscow School of Management (Exporters 2.0 Program). She lectures at universities abroad: Visiting Professor at the Harbin Institute of Technology (China, 2024); Visiting Professor at the Russian-Armenian University (Yerevan, Armenia, 2025).
• Alexander Sergeevich Ignatiev is a PhD candidate in law and an associate professor in the Department of International Law at St. Petersburg State University. His research focuses on the general theory of international law (public and private), domestic implementation of international law, integration law, including the law of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Union State, and the law of international organizations. He specializes in the rapprochement of national legal systems, the competition between international treaties, and international civil procedure. He is a participant in the "Notariat" project, implemented by St. Petersburg State University to assist notaries in the application of law in their work (an expert in international law). He is a member of the Russian Association of International Law.
• Oleg Yuryevich Skvortsov - Doctor of Law, Professor of the Department of Commercial Law at St. Petersburg State University, Senior Advisor to the international law firm DENUO, Arbitrator of the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Arbitrator of the Arbitration Center at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Arbitrator of the International Arbitration IUS (Kazakhstan, Almaty), Co-Chairman of the Editorial Board of the Journal "Arbitration Court", Member of the Editorial Boards of the Journals "Law Between East and West" (MGIMO), "Commercial Law" (Moscow State University), "Eurasian Integration: Economics, Law, Politics", Member of a number of working groups on the development of model laws of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, Participated as an expert in the work of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, Author of more than 250 scientific papers on international commercial arbitration and arbitration, investment law, commercial law, privatization law, bankruptcy, real estate transactions, procedural law, including more than 30 monographs and textbooks for law faculties of universities, member of ad hoc dissertation councils of St. Petersburg State University, laureate of the public prize "Arbitration and Conciliation" in the nomination "Book", laureate of the "Justice 2025" prize for achievements in the field of legal science.
• Olga Anatolyevna Kiseleva is a PhD candidate in law and associate professor in the Department of International Law at St. Petersburg State University. She specializes in public international law and international justice, and is a member of the Russian Association of International Law and the Russian Association of International Studies.
• Andrey Evgenievich Zuev is a senior lecturer in the Department of International Law at St. Petersburg State University. He has provided legal assistance as an attorney at the Leningrad Regional Bar Association since 1999. He specializes in international family law and drafting international commercial contracts. He has participated in several cases involving the application of the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of Child Abduction in the Russian Federation.
